Hi,

I am about to set up a Pro Cal Calcium Reactor. It has plastic input and output lines the size of my RO unit. It has a pump that circulates the seawater and CO2 through the reactor, dissolving the crushed coral.

I would like to hook up the Calcium Reactor in line with my top off water supply. That way it will not have to clutter up the back of the aquarium with more lines.

Has anyone done this?

Thanks,

Paul

What do you mean inline with your RO unit? You run SW through the reactor, and you don't run it with an auto top off.

You do not want to run a calcium reactor from your RO unit. Saltwater has a higher concentration of Ca than RO will hold. Saltwater is actually supersaturated due to the Mg content. RO water will be less efficient. Stick with a kalk reactor if you want to run it off of your top off.
