Not quite. Sorry for the not-so-good pic. I was aiming a flashlight at the same time. It is sitting on the rock and prolly 4" x 3" overall.

Looks like a Decorator Crab from that pic BUT that is an awful pic so that's only a best guess.

Do a google search for Camposcia retusa. While the picture is blurry it has the general appearance of this species. The color will vary depending on what kinds of sponge or other materials they crab has attached to itself.

Decorators are very cute & very amusing. They can also be a big problem because some of them like to frequently change their decorations. That means they will be taking whatever they can find - sponges, corals, tunicates, seaweed (depends on the species' preferences) - off the rocks. You might not be so amused if you find an expensive frag on a crab's back!

those decorators get big and can be trouble. the sponge decorators i hear are friendlier
