Nope, you have it backwards. Neogonodactylus wennerae have the two pronounced teeth. N. oerstedii, N. torus and N. curacaoensis, the other possible Neogonodactylus from TB, have four more or less equal teeth.

How much colour variation is there with N. Wen's? The one I got from TBS was a beautiful green.

Dave

they can be many shades. they can even change (very slowly, a little each molt) if their environment changes. i dont know what would cause one to be red, but i know if you keep them with a lot of macro they can become a beautiful green. maybe yours came from a macro bed.....

Dr. Roy, that means my second mantis isnt a N. wenn, on its tail there a 4 equal lenght teeth, it the same ed/ steel blueish color as the n. wenns are when the come from the rock. What is it?

I would have to see a detailed picture of the telson as well as know what color the meral spots are. These species are all very color polymorphic and it is almost impossible to identify them unless the meral spots are purple or watermelon red.
