I am using BRS RO/DI system currently. I also have two RO membranes & a booster bump to increase water pressure.
My tap water shows 260 (with handheld tds meter). Going into DI it shows 85 and coming out it is 22. I changed the DI resin about 45 days ago and it got used up pretty quickly.I called BRS to find out why I am getting such high TDS. The gentleman is suggesting that I remove one of the RO filters. He said since the second RO recycles the waste water, the resulting TDS is often quite high. If this is the case, I am not sure what is the use of using a second RO membrane then. Can someone help me understand?
I also noticed that the pressure after the 5 stage is showing 40 psi and I remember getting 80-90 psi before. This suggests that the water clogged somewhere in the system. Is it a good idea to change all the filters? Including the Ro sediment filter?
