teardrop maxima? best placement in tank?

hi, ive had this teardrop for about 3 weeks, currently on the sandbed, but i was wondering, would he be happier on the rocks?

they dont have bright colors like other maxima and croceas, so i was thining hed be alright on the floor?

my tank is 20" tall, 2" sandbed with 6x54watt t5s, 3 aquablues and 3 blue+

i would move it up to at least half tank

Mine has been @ the bottom of a 2ft tank for 2 years .But under halides. I would also say 1/2 way up.

thats funny, I have had a gold teardrop maxima for a while now, its been real happy on the bottom, I have halides and thought about moving it, ( mainly due to the rapid water movement and sand displacement from the added closed loop I installed this last week) So I moved it up atleast halfway to the top. Its opened up just as much, but it has not been long yet. Only time will tell, and with clams its risky to move them after they have been in one place for a long period of time. I will watch it closely and let you know if I have any problems.
