Tech M for bryopsis

The bottle of tech M says add 1ml a day to raise it 18.3ppm a day. Can I double this? Or will raising it too quickly shock the tank in someway?

Raising Mg is not hard on most critter in our tanks. But I think the Tech M idea for killing bryopsis is a thing of the past. It's just pure magnesium now and I don't think you'll find it will do anything to the bryopsis. Back in the day it had other ingredients in it and that was useful. At least that's what I read.

Good luck.

I'm not sure where that info comes from, I've seen it mentioned a few times here and there, but my last read a rep stated nothing has changed.
I just had a small bit of bry in my new tank a couple months ago, took about 2 weeks of using Tech M and it was gone.
Mag is fairly safe to elevate, but I'm not going to say do other than what directions suggest, that's up to you, others may chime in on that one.

I used it a year or two ago and it worked well too. I didn't measure. I just bought a jug and dumped it in from day to day. I had a mixed reef and had no losses.
