Teddans round obsession (195gallon) cylinder tank

Very nice work Teddan.

I'm interested in more pictures of the durso drain and the inside of the iverflow if you have them.

Thaks!

Gorgeous tank! Cylindrical's are by far my favorite! I cant wait to grow up so i can have one. Wait a sec, I dont wanna grow up!

-CCole The inside of the overflow is filled with the pipes for the cables, durso and return. But I will try to post a couple of picÃ"šÃ‚´s of it anyway.

How do you keep the water flowing all the way to the center of the tank? Are there strong currents in there?

Awesome tank... wish I had the cajones to build a tank like that!!! But think about it, ONLY ONE SEAM!!!!!!!! If I were going to tackle an acrylic tank, this would be it. Great job, can't wait to see it grown in!

Teddan, you did a most awesome job on your tank. I am most impressed with the work you did fitting everything into the stand.

I must also say I have pump envy as Deltec doesn't export those 8070's to the U.S. Perhaps one day they will, but until then I can only dream.

Great tank, and well thought out first rate.

As to the Deltec pumps they are nice lots of flow for low watts but i had to pull three of my 180 as if not cleaned every 6 months they would jam, and just get hot. I have heard mixed reports from no problems at all to complete pump failure due to bearing corrosion.

The bearing needs to run wet, and I am not sure the original pump body was designed for saltwater use.
I hope all work ok and you do not have a problem.

I replaced mine with iwakis, and these have proved more reliable

There's an interesting project :)

Is the leaking light any annoyance while in the same room?

Yupp but IÃ"šÃ‚´m not planning going on topless for long.
