The mounting brackets are like $60 for this thing, anyone got any creative ideas how to mount it without hanging it or buying those ridiculous priced brackets?

we just took ours apart, screwed through the back of the unit into the top of the canopy with about 25 small screws, and that was that.

I don't have a canopy, If I did I'd probably get a retrofit kit and save some $$
