Tell me everything important about clams?

I think im going to be adding a 250MH on my 28 gallon hexagon
"slowly setting up"
But i want to learn about the care of clams because i have always liked them and want to try one down the road so i want to research now.Show some pics if you have any.
Im thinking of going with a hamilton 14K or 15K XM

they are best when fried in a little beer batter.

the easiest clams to keep are derassa clams. I started with one that was about 4 inches about 2 1/2 years ago, now its about 10inches.

you think 250 Watt Hamilton 14K on a 25 gallon would be okay to keep whatever i want as far as SPS Clams LPS and Softies?
