I recently changed my lights from 400w mh to 4x 24w Tek T5's. The 400w was getting to hot for my setup, and I was worried about stuff catching on fire, and my chiller ran too much. I've had this crocea clam for about a year and it has done good. I dont see any negative changes under the T5's. It still looks healthy to me. I plan on moving it higher in the tank though. Tell me what you think. Does it look ok to you?

Are they regular or overdriven? What bulbs are you using?

I am using 2x 10k and 2x actinic. they are HO and regular driven.

Also, the reaction time for the clam is close to instant when shadows move over it.

your clam looks to be over extended. does the mantle always rise up out of the shell like that? or is there just a lot of flow?

if your planning on moving him up i would do it sooner rather than later. it looks to have some white spots forming on the mantle as well.

did he look like this under the 400w MH?

It did extend out with the mh's but not as much. Also the flow is high where he's at. I'll move him up today and see what happens.
