Tell us what SPS corals LOVE LEDs.

I know that LEDs grow healthy and colorful SPS corals. However, from my readings and my own experience I realized that some don't do as great as the other ones such as Oregon and/or Cali Torts in long terms.

Please, share what SPSs acclimate very easy and start growing weeks after placed in your tank from a T-5/MH tanks.

Personally I run 3 Radion PRO and 1 Gen 1 with TIR lenses over my one year 180 g tank and still trying to adjust intensity UP and DOWN.

Thank you.

Monti including digi I think look better under led.
Most of the Yellow/Green Acros do and look well
Hawkins and Red Dragon did very well under LED

Purples and reds tend to look cream on Acros. Blues Okay for me.

Millie's for me seem to hate LEDS

JMO turn the whites down and add a couple ATI Specials and your colors will look great.

I have great blues, greens, orange, reds, yellow is difficult though. Then again with a ton of blue it's hard to get a true yellow. My best grower switching over was probably the red dragon, most deepwaters seem to do well, not that the others aren't good too. I tend to lean heavily on the blue and just a little white.

Thank you for your responses.

Do you acclimate your corals at around 100 PAR? For how long before you start moving them up?

Hawkins
Red Dragon

Any of these ones?
Purple Monster
Garf Bansai
Ice Fire Echinata
Oregon and Cali Tort
Pearl Berry
Strawberry Shortcake
Bubble gum mille
Palmers Blue Mille
Aquadelight
Pink Lemonade
Purple Dragon Eyes
Blue Matrix
Rasberrry/blueberry tip prostrata
Pink Srylophora
Aquamarine Jewel Acro

Thanks.

As bad as I feel saying it I got pink lemonade, hawkins, SSC and put them right in there final spots, my Red dragon is at teh bottom of the tank and will stay there. I got most of these from reefers who run halides, that said I would suggest light acclimation for a week or two.

My Mantipora Setosa acclimated fast and started growing within a few weeks. Its color is deep orange.
My Purple Stylophora acclimated fast with great growth (doubled in one month) with nice purple color and gold skeleton (with blues and UV Channels).

What lights do you have?

LEDs are very strong and from a poll I did most keep there intensity T 60% or less.

The only corals I have had issues with is anything that is almost white in color... As far as acclimation, If the nitrates in my tank are in the low but detectable range, I try to place them in the same PAR level as the tank where they came from right off the bat. ... If my nitrates are zero (when I was ULN) I put them in the frag rack and move them up from 100 about once a week but they still always fade from lack of nutrients...

Since keeping my nitrates up I am at about a 90% success rate with new frags. I was at about 75% when I was ULN and they take 6 months to a year to color up if they survive...

Millie's and my Prostrata loss colors under LED. I had a Gen 2 Radion over my 93. Made the move to MH.....way better colors. Now back to my ATI fixture. We will see how it's goes.

I had leds for six months colors was ok but growth was slower I added t5s and my growth is much more obvious and colors are just much better...

My setosa frag LOVES LED. Have it in the upper half of my tank and it shines a nice sharp red, with a slight pink hue. And I get very steady growth from it.

I'm running AI Hydra and Vega and I haven't really had a light based issue with any sps I have added inc gomezi, red dragon, Hyacinthus, various colour carduus etc.
