At just under three inches I think s/he is probably near adult size, if not nearing 'max' size (from reading around here).
that same shot rotated about 90* to show the back half of the mantis from the side should be good to tell the sex. The male gonapods (there are two - one on each side) can be clearly seen off of one of the walking pairs of legs, while the female has two gonapores that cannot probably be seen at all without the aid of a microscope and a sedated/dead mantis.
