Tempered or plate for bottom pane

If I have the glass factory drill my bulkheads does it matter if they temper the glass for the bottom of my tank? Or should I keep it anealed and drill myself? Glass thickness is 1/2 inch

I would temper the bottom.

So, if you want holes in the bottom, have them drill then temper.

If I were to start a new tank though, I would drill the back instead of the bottom.
