How is the Sera test kit? Or for that matter what is everyones opinions of different brands of tests?

I have not tried the Sera kit yet. The API kit from DeathCo seems to work fine for what I need right now.

Sera are alright, API are in my eyes, an entry level kit. They are alright but not incredibly accurate. Red Sea are decent, as is Tropic Marin. Salifert has always had a good reputation as well but there was been rumors of QC issues. But rumors are just that rumors and I can't tell you for sure as I don't use Salifert

I find the Saliferts fairly easy to use as long as you can follow directions exactly. I dont know how accurate they are since I don't know anyone with higher quality testers to test them against.

I have actually asked the question before regarding which brands are best for which tests, but didnt really get a good sample size of responses.

So until I know better, I stick with the Saliferts since they seem to be the most popular brand.
