I was told tonight that since we weren't having any more kids, and that since money is so tight, that if I were to get snipped she could stop taking birth control and save over $25 every month. I asked if that meant I could increase my reef allowance by $25 every month. I wasn't if it was appropriate to post that, but since we were back on page one I figured I'd let the good times roll.

I don't even have kids, but if she (My mrs. lol) let me get another dog too I'd go for it LOL

I really like your fish in your profile pic what kind is it?? I think its sweet how it has 2 eyes on one side of its head LOL

Its a Flat yellow head tang, its from Platycephalidae family of fish. They inhabit estuaries mostly on the Australian east coast. Its very rare and often stays in the mud hiding it colour.

Similar to a flounder.

[voice=dorkymiddleschoolteacher] well you see now chort, i don't think that was being very friendly. now if you can't say anything nice, maybe you should keep your thoughts to yourself. [/voice]

;)

LOL... I had this nerdy 5th grade teacher that used to take a yard stick and slap it on your desk if you put your head down to go to sleep in his class.... one day he did that to me (after doing it like 2 weeks in a row), I ripped it out of his hand and snaped it in half, handed him one piece and told him do it again and see where the other one goes!

Sorry thought we were talking about dorky middle school teachers that didn't know what they were talking about.... Honestly I was kidding w/ my previous statement to you :D I'll try to be nicer since we aren't in the lounge

Seriously???.... ok I think I am being really gullable right now but hey lol

What about what skimmer??? lol......

Definitly suggested, however I have seen beautiful set-ups without one. Basically you want some form of really good filtration. IMO it doesn't matter so much where the filtration comes from, as much as it matters that it is good and the tank owner doesn't mind rolling up their sleves and doing a good manual cleaning if need be. If your going to go old school and rock a HOB then just make sure your cleaning and changing your filter media properly and as needed, same w/ a canister.

Considering waynems setup is about to be a 750g system (from what the sig says) I'm guessing their skimmate cup stinks, or the carbon supplier for the HOB or canister is delievering by the truckload :D lol

I had a Seaclone given to me and I have to say that the MJ1200 that came with it is providing awesome flow in my 45.

The rest of the skimmer is in a bucket in my barn
