Bob, that was on O'ahu sharks cove, Hunama bay, and a few others.

James, I think I still have some authentic Hawaiian sand in my snorkel bag still. I thought about sneaking some montipora sp. back but my wife wouldnt let me.(and couldnt afford the fine if found at airport)

Nice pics Jeff. Did you stay at Ko olina? Hanama Bay is great because the fish aren't skittish. I had a humu take a bite out of a fin last time I was out there.

Im not sure about the morish idol, i saw them at most places we snorkeled. By far the biggest and most veriaty of fish was at hunnama bay.

No, we stayed at Bellows Air force base(my brother is army) in a cabin on the beach for a few days and at my bro's house in Millilani Mauka for the rest of the week.

The beach out at Bellow's is awesome. One of the guys in our reef club here on Oahu is using some of the sand from the beach in his tank. When we were at Hanama I saw a sailfin tang that was at least 14".

Ya the size of the fish is incredible, Out at bellows it was very windy, but we still went snorkeling out by the oceanic institute and sealife park.
