I've been through two sets of 10K bulbs that the sellers swore would be "crisp white" but were truly yellow/green, like a 4700K at best.
The 14K's I finally got in exchange are much better, but still not as blue as I expected.
I have a PFO dual 175W AQ2MH ballast - I'm wondering if my ballast is weak somehow. I bought it used, there's no date on it, but it could be a few years old.
Do PFO (or any brand) of MH ballasts tend to lose power? The symptoms of the yellow bulbs would coincide with this, if the bulbs were underpowered some.
Is there any way to test/compare ballasts to see if they're putting out the right amount of power?
