Dear User of Turbelle Nanostream,

Since we present our Turbelle nanostream in 2006 a lot of things happen. In the beginning we had to learn once again that those innovative products are sensitive when they have to prove their reliability. In due to the great success we sold a lot of pumps and did recognise too late that the construction needs some improvements. I see this contribution as a chance to ask for forgiveness of these starting problems.
We have changed the material of the clamp, the inner shape of the propeller housing. The steel of the shaft is now a titanium alloy 316ti and fixation did get some modifications. These changes we have done step by step since we have start the sale. Our good service made it possible that all customers who did report problems got a replacement. I feel concern that this great pump some owners thought our product quality was not up to the standard of Made in Germany.
Fact is that that we have changed everything what was wrong. We did improve everything so that now we can be proud of to say it is German engineered and German made.
We did use this experience to create a stream 2 pump to improve the first Turbelle stream. I think the result is great and give us a new step in front of the copies. Thank you for all the customers which did stay by us.

Best regards
Axel Tunze

I agree. I am very grateful that Roger is the man behind Tunze here in the US of A.

p.s. The folks at Volkswagen are KILLING the concept of "Made in Germany" Tell them to move to France!!

Thanks guys!

Old Salty, VW actually does very well for what they do, the quality they offer for the price point is quite good. I have owned a couple VW's and they tend to be very durable and innovative in the big things like the power train but cheap and chintsy in things like trim and switches. When you look at the company as meeting its goal of a reliable affordable transportation they do well. Their service on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired and that is exactly why the Phaeton failed. When you get into a 80K+ price point, most people would probably rather pay the 20K more for a competitor that you know will be largely headache free. But, short of the rust out problems you see an awful lot of old VW's that still work and as a teenager I was always amazed that you could literally take the engine out and repair it on a park bench, even the older Rabbit's are amazing for their simplicity and durability. VW's are very much German, from my observation and hobby interests the key that differentiates German engineering is an emphasis on reliability and functionality and that products slowly evolve a few parts at a time without radical changes. Models remain largely unchanged for 10 years superficially but see almost quarterly "tweeks".

Well, I got off on a tangent but I really like old cars and especially VW and Mercedes and American odd balls and I read a lot of history on car brands.

Ok I am gonna keep this thread off tangent for a minute... what can I say I just went to the dealer again yesterday so as usual I left unhappy a bit.... Agreed on above, I LOVE my R32 overall but so far have been amazed on how horrid the service is that I have received in the 10 months of owning it, that and it has buzzes and rattles that drive me crazy at times(back to things like trim and fit and finish of the trim). I can say now matter how much I love the car unless something happens to really change my mind will be my first and last VW.

On the other hand shows just what Tunze does right.... I never have to worry about anything I sell to someone from Tunze. And on top of just a great product, I can rest assured if they have a problem it will be fixed, and fixed right at that.

Sold my R32 for an Audi and never looked back. Well, sometimes I look back. It was a fun little car.

That was a great post Mr. Tunze, I'm planning to use your pumps in the future (I've used the nanostreams in the past).

I agree with ShawnZ28, I don't worry about any of the Tunze products I buy. My mother in law bought me an Osmolator for my birthday (talk about nice gift eh!?!) and when I opened it the electronic eye was oozing some weird black resin. They were all bummed that it was bought over 30 days and we couldn't return it and figured I'd be out of luck. I said don't worry Roger will take care of it. I wasn't concerned even a little. And of course he replaced it in record time and its been working perfectly ever since.

I also bought my 6055 Nanostream after all the initial problems were reported, knowing I could get a new clip with just a simple PM if I needed one. :)

Thanks for all you do Roger!

BTW, I have a 91 Supercharged Z28 :bum:

Thanks Axel and Roger for your commitment I haven't seen anything like this from the Chinese I guess you get what you pay for So far 9002 and 6025 still waiting on the new skimmers

Thank you for a great product! Tunze is one of the products on my list I don't loose sleep over when I buy. Keep up the great work.

Wow! I don't remember the last time I saw company speak so frankly about their product and take responsibility accordingly! I'm more accustomed to the finger pointing kind of stuff, such as Ford blaming the tire manufacturer, the tire manufacturer blaming their engineering contractor, etc..

Posts like these from the GM of the company EARN my loyalty. I've got a 6060 and the osmolator and will be buying more Tunze products in the future.
