Meeting was great tonight. Thanks to James for going above and beyond! The new meeting location is great.

Also, welcome to the new members who attended. I hope you all got more than you expected from your first meeting. There were certainly enough frags for the auction for everyone to go around.

See you next month.

James really put out a spread of food along with some of the members. Thanks for a great evening folks.
Vinny :D

Excellent meeting all around. And if you wondered what any of the frags would look like when they grew out, you could always check "in the big tank". :)

James,

Thanks again for the hospitality

Next meeting you'd better watch Dave, he might try and frag that yellow tubinaria :D

We do have a great new space thanks to James. We had more members, more auction corals and other things for sale, and by FAR more food than we have had in a long time. Thanks to everyone for coming out, and I hope to see all of you as time progresses.

(also in the background the chiller that will be rafled off at the June meeting--tickets were for sale this meeting and will be at the June meeting as well.

And more from before Dr. Hovanec started his talk and people were still filtering in:

And of course thanks to Tim Hovanec for a great talk on an uncommon but very important subject.

:)

A big thanks to James for the spread of food, and to Denise who brought a monster hero and great side dishes.
The beer was cold too.

The Hach colorimeter confirmed the proper use of GFO on Tony's tank (Fragmented99) showing his tank level at a respectable 0.1ppm, and the effluent from his phosban reactor at 0.03ppm.

Also be sure to note that we are raffling off a chiller (valued $350), tickets will also be sold at the June meeting, $5 each, 3 tickets for $10 and the drawing will be at the end of the June meeting.

meeting was awesome, food was great. but did we have to post a pic with me right in the front making a weird face?

I am glad that the new place worked out well for the club, please always feel free to let me know if there is anything else I can do or improve.

Looking forward to seeing everybody at our next meeting on July 15.

no meeting in June??

I'm sorry I missed the last one... I definitely plan on being at the next meeting.

Dr. Bruce Carlson
from the Georgia Aquarium

--Dave--

Besides having some great material to show on the GA Aquarium project, Bruce is one of the best guys in the business and a good guy to hang out with. He has been instrumental in unifying the home reef hobby and scientific reef community.
I first met Bruce while I was at the NY Aquarium and he was visiting/ collecting with some of the staff there back in the late 80's. Whats funny is neither one of us has aged a bit
