Wish more of you folks could have attended. We got a lot of club business talked about. Janie will post the minutes in a day or so and I will start a few threads to discuss the items that we went over.

The frag-swap thing was great! We should definitely do that every few months. Oh, and the blasto I got is rad! Thanks to Seth and whoever I stole it from... t'was nice being in
last place.

Lastly, if someone could post a general schpeal to say to would-be sponsors, that would be appreciated.

thanks for coming ya'll, we had a great time. mountain jam didn't completely end until about 3am, i'm still in recovery mode.

i think we got a lot accomplished and some really really good ideas came out of it...i think we're on the right track, yay!

hey! loved havin ya, olivia. i wish we could have spent more time, but it was a pretty busy meeting. yes, i have your quesadilla maker, sorry about that! not a problem to bring it to the next meeting...or if you need it sooner, i'm hoping to get by the CR this week...probably wednesday if you wanna meet up.

and, scott, i TOLD you get break out the guitar. quit being so shy...they're a great group. still glad you came tho!

General Spiel for trying to get a sponsor for the swap:

Hi, my name is [your name], I am with the East Tennessee Reef Club. We will be holding our annual Frag Swap on Saturday June 19th from 12 pm until 4 pm. We are currently seeking sponsors that might be willing to make a donation for use in our FragSwap raffle. This can be any equipment, livestock, or store credit, essentially anything you would like to donate would be greatly appreciated. In return for your donation to our club we will be more than happy to display any posters or literature you want to send us. Also we can have your web banner (if they have one) added to our website. If they want they can check our website easttnreefclub.com for more information. Be sure and let them know that they don't have to make a decision right this moment but that you will need to hear something within the next couple of weeks. If they agree to get back in touch with you, make sure and don't pester them, this will only make them less willing to sponsor us. I would suggest calling them back once after a week has passed. If they don't give you an answer then, most likely they aren't going to be a sponsor.

Just remember the worst that any sponsor can say is no, so don't be afraid to call them.
