I picked up my live rock this morning at the airport and it is absolutely amazing! Every time I look at the tank I see something new! I have tons of stars (big and small), macro algaes, snails, worms, dusters, sponges, and some stunning coralline algae colors that I've ever seen before.

Wonderful packaging and great people to work with. Very friendly customer service.

Actual weight of live rock and live sand was 155 lbs and cost $77 to fly SW Airlines to Dallas Fort Worth. I think the rock was in the air about 3 hrs tops.

Thanks again and I'll never buy Live Rock anywhere else. You guys are awesome!

jjmg is refering to unwanted hitchhikers. I believe TBS is the best rock you can possibly find, you just have to put up with the hitchhikers. You but it for the life, and you get it.

I have had it for years, sponges doing well, cup corals, lps have tripled in size. Wouldn't buy anything else, jmo.

Richard has gone through the ringer with his business, deserves the support of us reefers.

Here's a few pics right after I got the rock in the tank. I love the starfish. I thought he was upside down at first but he didn't appreciate my help at all. I also got lots of snails and worms as well as quiet a few critters that I have no idea about. There is not an inch of this rock that isn't full of life. My rocks keep shooting out sand! I guess oysters or sea squirts.

Orchidfish, in the third photo down: Have you figured out what that arm or tentacle is sticking up out of the tube coral? I have a cluster of coral with four of those sticking up. They will wave around, withdraw into the coral, and are pretty active at times. I thouht there was a starfish hiding in there, but in 3 weeks it has not moved other than waving it's arms and whatnot. I have no clue. Maybe it is a star that comes out at night and goes back to exactly the same place every day, I don't know.

It's definately not a star. I can see it filling with water then blowing the water out. I think it may be a sea squirt of some kind. Really don't know.

I found two gorilla crabs and a bunch of porcelains lastnight. Just one mantis so far and hes a little guy (only about an inch).

Angela--

How did you get the Gorilla Crabs out? I have two in my tank. They hide in holes in the rock, whenever they come out just a bit and I try to get them, they scoot back in the hole. They are FAST.

I've noticed a few as well. I tried to squirt them with fresh water, which worked on the mantis', but they are stubborn. I think I'm going to use the soda bottle crab trap with a bit of raw shrimp and see if I can get them. I was able to capture my noisy little pistol shrimp though!

Haven't tried to catch them yet. I think Im going to lure them out with some krill or shrimp. Them Im thinking crab shishkabob. I have some skewers that will work wonderully.
