Thanks to Matt and crew!

Absolutely...and if any of the speakers read this, every single one of the presentations were so well done and the breeding of orca's in captivity was awesome;). For anyone who wasn't there, he brought out a male and female orca to discuss their relationship issues like in Montel:):):). J/K.

Sanjay gave me a lot to think about...

Everyone that helped out, it went so smoothly, we'd think you were planning this for a year;). You guys made it such a wonderful event!!

Ditto to Matt, Melissa and the Orca-ettes.

Absolutely AWESOME job. You guys need to think about going into the seminar business, it was FLAWLESS.

Everyone thanks for the great events. All the speakers were top notch, and many thinks to those who donated the great raffle prizes.

Where am I going to put my new cube?

Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, can't say anything that hasn't already been said, great job. Oh yea ... Orca-ettes? I really didn't need that image of Ray, Skinny Joe, Russell n the guys in rockett outfits but it would have made it even more interesting. A frag auction with the orca-etts high kicks dance squad.

Tom and I were so impressed with the entire production of this year's SRC. I can't imagine the number of hours that have gone into the planning of an event of this magnitude. The speakers were fascinating, the accomodations great and couldn't have been better organized. Matt, Mel and all the staff members who worked so long and hard...BRAVO!!

Was there alot of people there? Hopefully I can attend the next one if it is done again? How did the auctions go? Alot of good stuff? Was there any of the 2 dollar bidding lol?

You should be very proud Matt & everyone who helped make this a wonderful event! It was so well organized, the speakers were great, the food was awesome, and I know everyone had a wonderful time. I know I did...great job!!

I refrained from bidding 2$. The minimum was 5$, and I don't think anything sold for under 20$. The frag auction had some very very nice pieces, and I would say ORCA definitely made out really awesome.

BTW I am still in sticker shock over how high the picture and poster went.

A couple of my corals sold for under $20...whoever walked away with that pulsing sinularia for $16 should be quite happy:).

The meet and greet was awesome, the hotel was awesome, the day of was awesome, the speakers were awesome, the frag auction awesome, the raffle awesome, the planning was awesome, the dinner was awesome-

Thank you EVERYONE who helped put this together and thank you for letting me help out at the event it feels so nice to be even just a little cog in a big wheel :)

And now Mel and Matt- what the heck are you guys going to do with your lives now that you have them back?! :)

Sheesh, me too! I thought for sure I'd get the poster for $100 and was sweating when the bidding got up over $200! I almost lost Tom when I bid $250, but my adversary was a very determined man! What did if finally go for, like $275? I was pretty numb at that point. I really wanted it for on the wall in the store.

YEEEAAAAAH !!!

What an awesome weekend!!! Thanks everyone! I've been reading through everyone's comments about SRC and I have to say I am really grateful to be working alongside so many great folks. And even more proud to associated with such a wealth of terrific hobbyists.

The team that brought you guys the SRC is one of a kind. Now I have to tell you this, because this really blew my mind. Later that night after SRC, I had a chance to sit and talk with James Fatheree and Julian Sprung. James told me that in all the conferences he's had the privilege to attend, ours, the ORCA Club's SRC, was possibly the best, most well organized and genuinely unique conference he's ever attended. Julian also mirrored his comments and praise. WOW... I was floored. I am so proud of our group. And I have to acknowledge the great LFS’s in our back yard that contributed to making the raffle so great. I don’t think the raffle was the main attraction but it certainly drew a crowd. :spin1:

I’ve been to a few MACNA conferences in the last 16 years and I’ve heard plenty presentations that were snoozers… But, I heard a lot of feedback from club members and SRC attendees that each and every presenter was fun and entertaining. I was still running around a bit so I missed a pretty good chunk of each speaker’s talk, but from what I heard I was really impressed. Four out of four speakers that were educational and entertaining, I have to give props to James, Julian, Sanjay and Richard. All these guys were top-shelf and true gentlemen.

And again, I just have to say thank you to all of you that came into Orlando for SRC. And I’m so happy to hear so many people had a good time. That’s the feedback I needed to hear. I guess that is what makes it all worth while doing this job for ORCA.

Cheers!
Matt
