That moment you won't forget...

It costs how much?
My reef has been up, in it's new location, for almost a year now. I have had it going for nearly 3.

About 2 months ago, I had the chance to purchase 2 Nems..1 GBTA, 1 Red GBTA. I have 2 false Percs and just waiting for them to discover. Not interested in them, at all.

Well, nothing for a long time.....Until,

I was watching TV yesterday afternoon and saw the smaller Clown, rubbing against the GBTA. I stayed back and then it happened! It went inside. Stayed there almost the whole rest of the day. The larger Clown, was looking and I could imagine it saying "what are you doing?" Now, that one is starting to get used to it.

Today, when feeding, the smaller Clown, took pellets down and was putting near the Anemones mouth and on the tentacles.

It was the one of the coolest things, I have seen ever happen, in my reef!

Here is another picture. You can see that the GBTA, is still, sort of small, right below my White Leather, which had nearly doubled in size, since I bought it 5 months ago. Something I'm doing, or not doing, my reef likes.

congrats!! I have been waiting for my clowns to host for over a year...but nothing. I recently bought two more clowns and an anemone and put them in a tank for my daughter.....less than a day and they hosted!! we were so excited!!

I love watching my clowns host my rainbow bubble tip. It did not take my clowns long, say an hour, to start hosting it. Guess I got lucky. ;)

That's awesome it took a little while for my onyx clown to get the idea, but now she's never too far away from her "home" :)

Interactions between anemones and clowns is very cool, I completely agree. I had a similar experience with a BTA in one of my tanks that was completely ignored by my clowns for weeks until one day, presto, they 'discovered' it. Don't recall whether the BTA is a natural host anemone - I think it is - but for whatever reason it can be a 50:50 proposition.
