That was a great swap meet!

I had a lot of fun and met just about everyone who came in :D. I am happy to hear everyone had a good time.
I guess this will be a good time to thank the members and commercial members who donated the items to be raffled in this event, the prizes were all very nice and not only sent a whole bunch of people home very happy but also helped the club financially, this could only transfer to club growth!
On another note, I was amazed how many people came from other parts of the state like Palm Beach, Orlando and even Tampa to participate and share with us, Thank you for coming to see us.
I will see you all at this months meeting.

Palm Beach checking in. It was well worth the drive. Its energizing to see a club with so many dedicated members.

Picked up a bit more than I had planned and am glad we made the trip. Looking forward to making a few meetings this year.

Thanks to all

This was my first but it won't be my last!

I have to say, I brought home about a dozen frags, and hands down, the best were the ones I got from ordinary club members, not the big name pro sellers.
(Don't get me wrong... I really appreciate the LFS sponsors that were there and I got some nice stuff from them, but the frags I got from our own members was awesome looking and extremely generous!)
FMAS MEMBERS ROCK!!!

Thanks again for everyone that showed up and made it happen!

Pretty good. Due to previous comitments i had to dash in/out but overall good experience.
This two will def look good dwi=on d road.

It was my first but difinetly won't be my last!!! My Dad and I had an awesome time. We brought back tons of great frags, thanks to Jess and Jeff. I had my eye on one of the raffle prizes. How do we know who won what if we had to leave before the raffles were given away?

Thanks again and can't wait for the next one!!!

I did not know what to expect from the swap, being my first one. But I had built up something very nice in my mind, and was actually pleasantly surprised. All of the frags I bought are nice and open, and the clam seems.....well as happy as a clam....

I will post and call all winners of the raffle which were not present tonight. The winners of the the calcium reactor, picasso clowns, and diplomat stay have already been contacted.

Missed it...

Missed it...

I'm glad to hear everyone had a great time at the swap. I was all geared up and ready to go, but sadly our (very elderly) family dog passed away Saturday night :(

My wife found him laying and unresponsive Sunday morning as she went to feed him breakfast as usual... needless to say we were very sad and our kids were inconsolable, so even mentioning the swap was out of the question.

At least I have the (possible) August swap to look forwards to. Hopefully it will be just as good as this one.

I'll try to make it to the next meeting on Feb 27 and finally meet some of the club folks.

Lou,

So sorry to hear that man. I feel you dude I have a 13 year old Golden Retriever that I've had since he was 3 weeks old. He's still in really good shape for his age (91 dog years) but I dread the day I'll have to put him down. Makes me sob just thinking of it.

Take care,

Lou (compulou)

Thanks, I appreciate that. Our dog was already 17 and did very well until the last few months, when he gradually started deteriorating. He had a stroke recently and we knew he was close to the end. At least he died peacefully at home.

Dogs are tough ones to lose...we lost both our Huskies last year, may they rest in peace, so I know how you feel.

On a bit of a brighter note, I was a first time frag swapper, and found the whole experience to be quite nice. I actually came back for seconds!

I'm really sorry for your loss, Lou.
I've been there myself, and as hard as it might be to think it so soon, the "circle of life" with pet dogs always leads to... yep, you guessed it... a new puppy... especially when kids are involved.
Sometimes, the sooner you fill that dog-shaped hole in your family, the better.
Best wishes to all of you.

And don't worry about missing the swap meet, my guess is the next one will make this one pale by comparison.
Bring on the next swap meet!

I wanted to thank everybody that came out for the swap. All the vendors did a great job, no problems at all. I hope the vendors had a great time and are happy with the way things turned out. And to all the members(new and veterans) that came out and supported the club. And last but not least, to all the volunteers that made this thing come off with flying colors.
