I got a great deal last week (thanks Andy), now the work begins...

What I started with...

In progress...

Still have some sanding to do and some additional trim on the stand to disguise the bottom trim on the tank, otherwise ready to prime and paint...

Hey I was wondering if this thing was still on

We just got home from Tims and I must say that he has a great start on this 120 (I still wanna smack him for the deal he got but hes bigger then me). He also proved that SPS can be kept in a low light, low flow environment and grow like mad.

Shhhhh..... 2X65W PC is low light??? As for the flow I think it almost qualifies for "no flow" doesn't it???

I would have to agree with that. Anyway, the 120 is going to be a super nice setup. I'm not sure if I will be looking at the tank or your freaking HUGE projection TV

Well I wanted it wet tomorrow but since we're going to Indy and I have a pump issue... we have a delay. (mad about the pump issue not Indy...)

Dolphin condemned it so I'm looking for plan B. My comfort level isn't extremely high with Dolphin, they said practically everything about the pump was bad... motor, volute, housing, seals, bearings... I never had it wet but it sure didn't look that bad. And to think I sent it in for preventative maintenance... So much for a good deal... They said the only thing salvagable was the front cover and they'd sell me a refurb for $250, $30 short of a new one. I doubt I'll consider them again... I might not be able to pump 3000 gph with one pump but I can buy a couple Ocean Runners for less money and have what seems to me to be a much more durable and trouble free setup for about the same electric usage.

Sounds like a good excuse for a tank like Treg's when the 120 wears out then...

Got the Quiet One 4000HH today. Will use it with a bored out SCWD with the eductors at least as a trial... If that's not the answer I'll figure out "Plan C"... I do know where there's a Wave2K for sale too...

I don't think anyone else has bit on the Wave 2K yet... I'm going to try the Quiet One 4000HH and my bored out SCWD to see what happens.... Hopefully I'll have it up and runing Sunday, I have to work Saturday and don't know if my sump glass will be ready Friday though so timing is everything...

On a side note I ordered my reflector from Innovative Lighting Supply in California on the 22nd of July. Horrible communication (nothing live) with a 24 - 48 hour lag just for an email... The guy says he shipped it on the 24th but no tracking number and no follow ups yet...
