I'm thinkin' a 65G sump a Quiet One 6000 and a 1200gph overflow might work well on a 90G....:D

and Tim if you decide against this one and I end up buying it, I can sell you my current set-up with lifereef overflow, mag-drive seven and all plumping.

Nate, I am very interested in both metal halide pendants. Can we arrange a meeting so I can see them? Do they come with any type of hanging hardware?

Thanks, John.

Guys, he gave his phone # for a reason. Maybe he doesn't have the free time to keep checking RC.

Adam, I could use a mag 7, but not the overflow & plumbing.

ben, I can only sell the mag 7 if I get a bigger return pump. I would like to eliminate a few powerheads by making the return from my sump more powerful, something like around a 1000gph after head pressure, devided between two returns on each end of the tank. but that also requires me to get an overflow that can handle that much as well. I'm not sure if it's the standpipe or what but my overflow won't even handle the mag7 at full tilt right now. I really would like to see if it could handle my mag 7 if I removed the standpipe but I need something else to help eliminate the flush noise but that doesn't slow the flow, like one of those sponges on a CPR, just can't seem to find just one of those anywhere without buying a whole overflow.

I thought I was the stupid one. :crazy1: I'm the one who keeps asking questions.

Gary has prefilter sponges back by the salt and tubing. That's what I've got on mine. You might be able to drill more holes in the standpipe to get more flow. Also, I found a thread that said to try sliding airline tubing (slowly) down the drain and waiting to find the sweet spot, then tie it off. That's the spot where the noise gets minimized. I found mine, hehehe. Not silent, but I can't hear it upstairs anymore.

Holey thread robbing batman!!

you're new to these parts aren't you

I think you need to call Nathan and leave him a message. I don't think he can hop online while he's saving lives. Those guys work 24 hour shifts sometimes, so sleep is an issue too.

I can vouch for his system though, absolutely beautiful.

How about PM the guy you are talking to so I don't have to keep coming to this thread hoping for a reply from the seller. I don't have to waste a dime here as it would be long distance from me to him.

I can also testify that it an outstanding set-up.... I purchased a acrylic tank from him a few months ago, and saw the system he has for sale....AWESOME!!!

I would also recommend giving Nathan a call, it would be a better way to get in contact with him, we had a few missed PM's when I was getting the tank I bought...

Best of Luck to Nathan and his wife, Amanda, they are wonderful people....and whoever gets this set-up is getting one Hell of a nice tank!
