The 1st year frag swap

As of march A.R.K. will be 1 year old. As a celebration, I thought we could hold a small (or big) frag swap. Figured if we get the ball rolling now it will give us time to plan, frag, and get ready. Anyone interested in grabbing the bull by the horns? Thoughts for the think tank?

At yesterdays meeting we were offered a warehouse/storefront at n/c to the club.

Ideas:

A.R.K. members can set up frag tanks at n/c (small fee for others)

A couple vendors

Time: for celebration of our 1yr anniversary (March/April)

Everyone setting up a tank has to bring their own up to 30gal

Available sw will be on premises

Lets hear YOUR ideas as we will be trying to get most details hammered out this week.

I would like to do it but prob will have only 5 frags up for sale or trade .We as a club can have our own tank there and who ever has frags use that one frag tank a community frag tank for the swap. That way it will be easier and alot more cost affective for us. Just an idea to throw out there..? Brian AKA BB

Thers a guy on ebay that sells AIO frag tanks pretty cheap and they are kick a$$ he has a nice one for like $145 so if we have 5 people that have frags they wanna sell we as a club can throw in $25 each or so and have our own club AIO frag tank for meetings, demenstrations,frag swaps,and whateverelse another idea out there. I think that's a great idea especially for people with only a few frags to sell...not that I'd have any to sell (still in process of acquiring more frags myself). I have a 30g breeder sitting in my basement I'd be willing to donate to the cause...only thing is that it's drilled for an overflow...but you wouldn't have to fill it all the way up.

Yea a community tank on a ARK sponser table is the way to go cheaper for us cause I'm sure we dont have alot of frags to sell and the table will be good for us to get our name out there and get some more members and tell people what were all about. Brian

Sounds like thats the path we will take. It would be great if members would set up a tank and represent the club also. We will push back the A.R.K. frag swap back to October and turn it into a frag fest. Thanks for all your opinions as it is important to me to try and do what the group wants as a whole but can't do that unless everyone speaks their mind.

I have been out of touch in the forums for a while, so just catching up on a bunch of the posts... i like the idea of a frag fest a lot good idea.
Over the past year or two Ive read about other clubs / vendor frag swaps / buying a table etc. Have alwasys wanted to go to one, but never ended up pulling the trigger (same for the macna event in atlantic city the other month). I like the idea a lot, but really have no clue in what goes on in setting it up. Ill gladly have a few frags to participate with.
