The 300 has begun

yeah nick wheres the pictures of all that hard work?

Why is the tile not done yet? You did not play softball you should have it done by now.

Well I got my CO2 tank yesterday so I started to hook up my reactor. I did a pressure test a while ago and found the one of the pump fittings was leaking. I siliconed it so I figured it was fixed. That was my problem. I figured it was fixed. Started to hook it up and it leaked about a gallon of water onto the floor. AAAAAAAAAAARG that's how I feel right now. :D

Then to top it off I chipped my front tooth holding the flashlight in my mouth. It's not noticeable thank God. So don't try the flashlight in the mouth.

Well, I got the Calcium reactor and the Kalk reactor up and running tonight. WOOOHOOO! Also calibrated my PH probe. It has been reading 8.87. Now after calibrating it it says 8.12. I new it was off. I just didn't have the buffer solution. I got it from Jesse today. That's another reason I didn't have these hooked up before because I want to monitor my PH with these guys running. I'd take a pic but it looks nasty down there with wires everywhere. LOL I still need to mount all my power strips. Maybe tomorrow. :D

Well just with the reactors running for a full 24 hours now. I can see a big difference in my acro's polyp extension. They seem to be alot happier. Here's a few pics.

and my calcium reactor. Just don't look at the mess behind it. :D I hooked it up outside of the stand so I could make sure I didn't have any leaks after the pressure was applied. There was one tiny pin hole that I patched.

Well here's a updated full tank shot. Also I got my Blue Squamosa this weekend when I went to California. My friend held him for a year for me. What a great guy. Also got a Yuma rock from another friend. Here's the pics.

Yep, they are real hard to find. I got lucky 4 years ago. One of the LFS in California got 3 of them and I got one of them. I found one website that sells them the same size mine is for $400-$600 each.

So I have been doing a little research and cant seem to find what the difference is between a grade A blue maxima and a Blue Squamosa. Can some one please explain. Here is a pic of my new clam (the one on the right), I was under the impression it was a blue maxima is this correct? Thanks in advance.
