The 630 Build

awesome build man love the dimensions. and your view on everything that will go inside. it suprises me that people come into YOUR thread and complain about you expressing your viewpoints. keep up the good work

Thank you everyone for the encouraging support. The tank was cycled in one week using Fritz nitrifying bacteria. I have a few Cromis and Bangaii Cardinal's swimming happily in the tank. I had to replace an old dart with a new hammerhead. The hammerhead is running the closed lope and a dart is running the return. I also had to order a new Skimmer. I had purchased a used skimmer from a local guy last year, but it turned out to have way more problems then it was worth. So Im now a proud owner of Super Reef Octopus XP-8000 External Cone Protein Skimmer. I think I will name it Big Nasty. Thing was so big it had to be trucked in on a crate.

My drains are working just the way I had planned. They do put out some noise, but its not enough to bother the wife or I. I will work on some pics tomorrow.

Definitely post before and after pictures of the old vs new skimmers, as well as the uncrating of the new one haha.

Do you think your drains will quiet down after a little slime builds up in them. (My experience is PVC drains can be noisy initially till they slime and quiet down??

I haven't messed with the drains yet. I still need to place dursos on them, so Im sure it will get better. Plus the slime should help also. Here is a few pics of the skimmer. I don't think I have any pics of the old GEO. But it was an early model with 4 recirculating pumps.

Really nice aquascape.
I'd break up the horizontal line though.

Great tank dimensions.
You can be proud of what you have already.

Nice job on the rock bridge.
I'm going to start on my rick structure in the next couple of weeks. I'm glad I got to see this first to get some inspiration.
Good job.
