Do you have an idea of what your turnover rate is?

Im gonna be using 2 6100's. my return will slow at first 400-600gph.i have a rio seio 850 and thinking of buying another 1500
and use these 2 pumps to blow behind the rock work forward twoards the outer corners, while setting up my tunze kinda facing like your eductors.

I'd guess the eductors throttle the flow through the Iwaki 55 back to about 700 gph, but the inducted flow bumps it back up to about 3000-3500 gph in the tank.

Peak flow from a 6000 Tunze is 1850 gph.

So, the total peak flow is around 44x.

Given the way my fish get bounced around, it seems to be plenty.

Weatherman,
Have you tried pointing that Tunze at the front glass? I have the same basic config in my 90 and was thinking about adding the Stream to the 120 for some random flow.

thanks, Chris

I'm just waiting for my magnet holders so I can position the pump right in the back center, so it can be pointed directly forward. :)

It's something I've wanted to do for quite a while.

Don't tell me that!!!!! I was feeling better:lol:

I'm just going to live with what I have and be happy:)

Anybody know how much flow you can push through 2 AGA overflows? I would like to push ~ 1500-1600gph if I can. I've easily pushed 700gph through one.

Looking forward to the pics wrasse86!

Sorry:D altho i did fail mention it's extra $$$$ 60-70.

I thought they were rated for around 1400gph ,smoothly

Pics soon, right now there just a empty tank so not much to look at.But as i get the basement sump set up(still need a pump).and drill the holes through my nice new floor :D i will sart logging them ,altho my wife is not to fond of the idea.

Its funny how we all have to check with our wifes to make sure poking holes in the walls and floors are okay... But then you sneak any new toys from the UPS man around her =)

:D True, funny thing is, when i told her i was thinking of suspending the lights from the cealing instead of making a new canopy/or making a false one.she didnt seem to have a problem with that.

If anyone has any good ideas for that also please chime in.
Right now i'm just thinking eye hooks and very thin brass chain.

Well thought i would update this thread,Now that i have internet back.
My move to MI went smoothly ,altho i cant say that for the corals.crappy things started happening from the start.I had a 80g tank set up to hold my stock while the build up of the 120g proceded. But that tank decided to start leaking 5g every 2hrs.so the rush was on to get the 120 up.Needless to say i lost alot and still loosing:(
But after a hell of alot work the 120 is up and the basement sump is working well, maybe alittle to well.My old tank i fought to keep temps low even with a chiller.now i have to fight to keep temps up
With 2- 300 watt heaters i struggle to maintain 76-77.But also i think that maybe slowing down RTN also

Pics to come:)
