The Austrian Drop Off taken over by Acroporas

Hey Guys!

after reading so much in this section of the forum and getting more and more into SPS corals and specially into Acroporas (and a little push from Perry^^) i thought it would be good idea to show you what corals i´ve got in my tank and show you all where my journey is going... epic failure or something great... i hope the second ^^

so thats my tank:

(pls don´t look at the mess around the tank, my girlfriend moved in with me...)

so it´s a 550L drop off tank
3x Vortech Mp10
1x Pacific Sun with 3x 75W LEDs and 8x 54W T5s
1x Jebao DDC12000 Returnpump
1x Coralbox Skimmer
soon to be Vertex Reactor with 1,5L
and will be running on Aquaforest starting next week

so lets talk corals...
setting up the tank i thought keeping up with my Acanthastrea collection but the SPS bug got me and now my tank is making a shift to Acros

and here some of my Acans and other LPS:






the tank has 3 major problems:
- Aiptasia
- Bubble Algae
- upcoming Cyano Bacteria

The Aiptasia will be killed by snails, just have to find some but i made some very good experiences with them
how to bring down the Bubble Algae i´m not quite sure...
and i hope the Cyanos will vanish after changing to AF system...

but let´s wait and see...

hope i can keep up a nice journal on how my tank is going to change and how my corals grow big and thrive...

This is my personal favorite tank on the boards mates.... The acans you are pulling to replace with acros is mind boggling to me, but I guess we all have a love for acros... Great job Flo, I am your biggest fan!!!

thanks! haha yes the shallow are is made for acros and not for acans... took me some time to realize that...

i´ll be getting a macro lens today so maybe today or tomorrow i´ll show off some hopefully sweet macro

Yes one MP10QD is running on one side of the drop-off
only one because on the other side is the refugium... maybe i will change that if i see some problems with the flow!!
