The beginning of the 60gal "Super Nano"

So that's what you did eh? You molded your old Lumenarcs and sold them to Jerry. Now you have a replica of it. Nice! ;) Aluminum foil? Please share....

Seriously though, your nano is pretty darn cool. I can't believe all the Deltec goodies you bought for that thing in the past two weeks! Plus you have tons of flow from the nanostreams. Looks good!

Yeah, now if I can find the time to get it all hooked up.

Thanks for the tip on the Nanostream mod, that little thing is crankin the flow now. I will probably go ahead and mod the other two I have. That will give me one 6045 and three modded 6025's.

Hey- When I asked if I could join your elite GIRS nano club with that tank you said the tank was too big... So I went out and got a 11g tank so I could be cool:cool: and after all that you consider his 60g a nano....:blown:

well I don't want to be part of your cool guy club anyways... 11g nano FS

It's actually a "super nano" if you read his title. Notice he started his own thread and not in the GIRS nano thread?

So are you really going to sell your custom nano after dropping a ton of money on it?

Have to get your blessing from Sone. 47g might be pushing it for him. ;) Either way your still cool in my book

Sorry to derail your thread Allen! Please post some pics once you get the MH crammed in the hood. I think your "Super nano" looks awesome compared to what the previous owner did with it. And yet he wonders why he never got in da club! :D

Don't be hating...you can re-apply for membership at the beginning of fiscal '08.

You two really should get some help:p

The lights will be a while, still waiting on the Icecap ballast for them. I did manage to get the calcium reactor up and going today, still have a lot to do with arranging things, but I really wanted to get this online. Its a Deltec PF509 and unlike the larger Deltecs, does not have a place for a pH probe, in all reality you probably dont need it, but I wanted to have one, so I made this handy dandy pH probe holder:

It simply goes into the effluent line of the reactor and seems to be working very well, much easier than drilling a hole into the reactor. Still working on fine tuning it and I obviously didnt rinse the media well enough as its still very cloudy inside the reactor, but heres a pic of it:

I don't need no stinkin' help!

Nice mod for the probe holder. It should be easy to pitch the probe when it gets old and just buy a new union for it if you don't want to dig out the silicone.

The reactor I had was always cloudy for me even though I rinsed out the Rowalith C+ I don't know how many times. Yours look good to me.

Actually have lots of updates for this, but right now I am building the lighting system, so I figured I would throw up a pic. I will using 2 x 24" T5 Actinics powered by an Icecap 660 which pushes them to around 40W each. In the center will be the Lumenarc Stealth reflector with a 250W DE 10K AB lamp on an Icecap MH ballast.

daaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnng that's some light!!

OBTW - you do realize 60 gallons tends to be a bit larger than your average nano tank...... of course any tank we have is a nano is true comparison!

I hate your hood. And I only say that because it is FAR nicer than mine and I am jealous that it turned out so much better than mine.

Seriously though, I may be PMing you when it comes time to build a hood for my MH...

Hey allen instead of siliconing that probe in you can get electrical wire fittings that are used to run wires through walls and be water tight, basically they are just a big compression fittings. Thats what i used for my DIY probe holder. The silicone seems to work just fine though.
