Hey allen instead of siliconing that probe in you can get electrical wire fittings that are used to run wires through walls and be water tight, basically they are just a big compression fittings. Thats what i used for my DIY probe holder. The silicone seems to work just fine though.

That silicone really bothers you guys doesnt it :lol: I actually just got a compression fitting, sometime I will redo the probe holder.

Here are some more pics, first one is after getting the Icecap 660 mounted and all the wiring ran for the T5's. I also installed the LED's for the Neptune Systems Lunar Sim and added an additional fan.

Looks good Alen! Why did you mount the ballast inside the hood? Won't that put off some heat that you really do not want in the hood anyway? Also....do you have the fans so that it pushes the air out the back or just circulate it throughout the hood? I would think that you would want it to run across your lights and out the back. I really cannot tell by the picture.

Do you have a picture of the whole set up yet? You are giving me ideas

Hey Bob,

I dont think the Icecap should be all that bad in the hood, if I do run into any issues I'll put in the basement and run the wires up to the hood. The MH ballast will be in the basement, as they do run very hot. The fans are blowing "in" right now, the hood is very open in the back, so I'll have to see how well this works. I may end changing them around some.

WOW, the 250W HQI is seriously bright, of course I've been running just T5's for a couple weeks, so its a huge difference. Now Ill have to work the SPS back into the MH over the next couple weeks.

Thanks guys, still some work to do, but its almost done.

I basically kept all my favorites, I have the A.plana, A.desalwi, A.tenuis, what I can the "Nuke" Acro, ORA Pink milli, yellow milli, Rainbow Montipora, Oregon Blue Tort, Shawn Bennett Blue Tort, Aquarium City Red milli, Ponape Birdsnest and Ocean Blue Stylophora plus a couple others here and there. Not all super rare, but they all have GREAT color.

A couple more pics, here is the new(actually used but new to me) return pump, its a Blueline 40HD, very quiet and cool running pump.

Here is the Deltec KM500 Kalkstirrer and Deltec FR509 Fluidized reactor. Had to order some parts for the reactor, so it will be a couple days before I can get that running, I am planning to run both carbon and PO4 remover in it together.

The moonlights are from Neptune Systems, they are made run on an Aquacontroller, it dims/brightens them following the lunar cycle.

Folks, the pics do not do this setup justice.
The hood is amazing and heat is definitely no issue with that Ice Cap in there. Those fans run quieter than his computer and do a great job. Plus they are redirectable.

Looking good allen! I run the same pump as a return on my 125 are you running it full bore? I had to throttle mine back some cause my cheesy external overflow couldn't handle it.
