The beginning of the 60gal "Super Nano"

Well, the "Super Nano" has a new toy:D

Heres my new skimmer, a Royal-Exclusiv Mini "Bubble King" 180. This is THE most well built piece of reef equipment I have ever seen, just about every piece is CNC machined right down to the needlewheel!

Here are some pics of it taken apart. The inside "neck" of the collection cup is actually completely removable, thought I had a pic of them separate but cant seem to find it.

Here are some pics from firing it up today.

This is the air/water mix coming right out of the injector plate:

Its been running about 3 hours and is still breaking in, but has already formed a pretty good head of foam.

So far I am very impressed with this skimmer, its a actually a bit over sized for this size system and is much bigger than it appears in pics, it stands a little over 22" high and is just about 8" in diameter, but gives me plenty of cushion and room to add more volume in the future.

While the projects are never over, I think I just about have this all going the way I want:)

First, heres the latest pic of the "Super Nano", it sucks, just cant seem to get good FTS.

And here some pics of the sump room. Here you can see my sort of DIY 7-stage RO/DI and the AC3.

Here is all the equipment, most out of the sump, with the skimmer in a custom made "skimmer box" from Aquarium Specialty, this was done to keep a constant water level around the skimmer. I have also run the drain line into the box, which helps feed the skimmer directly from the display.

On the shelf is a Deltec PF500 calcium reactor, I got this really cheap as the original pump was broken, instead of replacing it with another Aquabee, I instead modded it with an Eheim 1250. Also on the shelf is a Deltec KM500 kalk stirrer and Deltec FR509 fluidized reactor. The kalk stirrer is fed by an Aqua-Medic SP3000 dosing pump. n the FR509 I am running both GAC and GFO which is working out great.

The center of the sump will soon be my frag tank.

About the only thing left to do is put a Stockman mod in my overflow, just a little loud at times.

Looking good Allen! I just got done re-arranging some of my equipment to save space. The baby is getting my office so I get to live downs stairs with the equipment.

Those mangroves are getting huge! What kind of lighting and schedule do you have them on? Mine have sort of stopped growing, could be lack of nutrients i guess.

That pink birdsnest sure is purdy.

Wow, the tank looks great! Plus a lot of nice top shelf equipment. :eek1:

I think something is missing, maybe a Garf's purple bonsai? Don't worry though, I'll grow out your frag I picked up from JJ's and then give it to you after I grow it out. ;)

Thanks Sone, you just leave that frag alone

Jeremy, all I am using are the cheapo plant and aquarium bulbs from Wallyworld in a shoplight. Lights are on ~11hrs/day. Make sure to keep you Mg levels up, they need it to remove the salt from the water in order to grow.
