the best seahorse aquascapes

I worry what I could be adding to the tank plus they like it wayyy colder. There are many cold water tanks in the area though

Very Cool :fish2:

I'd think there'd be quite a few there taking advantage of cooler water plants of the Oregon coast.

Not so much that I have seen. It is actually too cold for that here. All that macro in my tank came from John at ReefCleaners. He's my inside guy, well mine and everyone elses. Not saying John gets around but. . . he's "popular"

Love the macro wish I could find som locally

Ironically its much easier to find nice macro's your side of the Atlantic. Most of us over here are very jealous of the selection easily available to you. We're starting to get some of the nicer corals but macro and fish wise we are way behind.

This was mine. Not saying its the best but the female loved the height.

I think this is the closest to modern art I've seen in an aquarium design. great arrangement of color and excellent use of space.

May I ask how many seahorses live there ?

Here are a couple of photos of what I have done with my 100 gallon H. erectus tank. Since having the seahorses, I have "grown" to LOVE macroalgae. When I go into the LFS, I always ask if they have any. I have C. racemosa (green grape), Botryocladia pseudodichotoma (red grape), C. prolifera, and C. mexicana.

Since I did not want any types of corals, gorgonians or sponges (I don't want to make the tank any dirtier than it can get with having to feed something else), I bought three pieces of "Living Color" coral. I have 2 yellow branched corals and 1 tall red sponge. Besides the macroalgae garden, the seahorses are really fond of the red sponge. Since I added the red grape macro and the faux corals, my seahorses have gone from a dark, black/grey color to a burnt orange/yellow. They especially color up when hitched to the red sponge.

Here is my 36 gallon bowfront seahorse tank. Its kind of dirty as I just returned from a 15 day motorcycle roadtrip across the country. None of my coral require extra feeding other than filtering whats in the water.
