Where would you place one of these in a 125?

Place it on the opposite side of you return push water all the way across the tank. (side to side)

How high up?

Just low enough so it doesn't suck air from the surface, all depend on what % you run it at.

Why do you run them so high in the tank??? Just curious... I know they produce some wicked undertow... :)

I am running Lagoon @ 100% in my 30G 24x24x12 cube... with Night mode on as well.. Don't know how the SPS respond, as its not stocked yet..

I have mine 3.5 inches from the top in my 40 breeder and I'm getting an insane undertow.

2 pumps on long pulse mode, opposite sides of the tank - 75ish%, anti-synch every 16 seconds. 100 gal corner. I found runny a long alternating pusle worked in a corner tank, an altering flush so to speak. Love it. Maybe 6-7 inches under the water line, just far enough where I can still draw a vortech from the surface. I dose vodka, so I want the extra oxygen in the tanks from the surface draw.

puts the pump into a steady, low flow for 10 hours.
i run mine in reefcrest most of the time, at 100% of course. every now and then i switch from sync to antisync just to change things up. i put the pumps into lagoon at about 75% in sync during the night when i can remember it.lol
im running 2xmp40w on my 90 long with sand, but i have no sand in the middle of the tank anymore =)

What does night mode do?

It changes to constant speed at 50 percent less output your pump is currently at

Sometimes I run it sometimes I don't. If the pumps lose power or you turn them off you have to reset night mode each time. I don't think it has an adverse effect. The one positive is it may prolong pump life but thats speculation.
