and heres a few more

tank in situe, storage until sale of house, this is 8 ft x 4 ft x 42" tall

with a veiwable 3 ft of water, the additional height is for splash or spray, aswell as surge

you will have to excuse position of the tank, as it is stored on its face, this is to protect it

tank1.jpg

some equipment

equip2.jpg

more

equip1.jpg

and even more

equip4.jpg

lo and behold, more

equip3.jpg

closed loop intake box, this will have a sliding grill down the front for easy maintenance, and takes 2 x 50mm bulkheads which will in turn feed 2 x AG14 pumps, these will return flow back to the tank via 2 x 4 way oceans motions

closedloopintake.jpg

one of the 2 external overflow boxes, in 25mm acrylic with lids and built in returns, the grills were done by CNC

these each have 2 x 63mm bulkheads to sump and 1 x 40mm bulkhead to carry the encloes return in each

overflow1.jpg

another

overflow2.jpg

and another

overflow3.jpg

built in, internal, vortech housings, allowing flow from one top crner down to bottom opposit corner, these are dry chambers

i just didnt want flow to be from front ot back, or left to right etc

thanks for the replys guys, ill get some more pics up over the weekend

and also a couple of pics my old one

as for the tank manufacturer, good bunch of guys at a company called

www.talkingplastics.co.uk, www.talkingtanks.co.uk

and listened to all my requests for my build, aswell as making a few other bits and bobs

like my 4 way micron bag holder, for mechanical filtration, ill put a pic up in a bit

guys

heres some pics of the micron bag holder and a couple of my temp holding system, with my 2 Grotech HEA300,s skimmers

skimmer porn....................yeah baby

micron1.jpg

micron1-1.jpg

this holder is split into 2 indevidual chambers and can be run independently of each other, each compartment has 2 micron bags in each

also they have lids over the top, to prevent splash and salt creep aswell as keeping them quiet

you will also notice a 1 " lip along the top of the bag tray, this allows water back to the tank, should the micron bags become blocked and overflow

micron4.jpg

micron5.jpg

micron6.jpg

the next 2 pics, are of my temp holding system, as i have now broken down my old tank and am waiting to move house at some stage

this will just make life easy, the skimmers are grotech HEA 300,s, each of these will easily skim 7500 litres and there is one on each vat

keep you all going for a bit

as for control

im going to be using GHL profilux

there will a profilux plus 2 built into the lighting rig and this will control

4 x profi LED,s in each corner

4 x 4ft twin T5 dimmable light units

4 x 3ft twin T5 dimmable light units

6 x 400w lumenarc reflectors

all contained within a sliding light rig

then i will use another profilux plus 2 ex, this will control all of the monitoring and dosing within the system, aswell as messaging and control via web access

i will also have a pc on the fish room side for easy monitoring of system and on the display side, i have bought a 3M touch screen monitor, so as i can easily access the fish room side to make any changes, without the hassle of a mouse and keyboard

so all in all, this should turn out to be an amazing system, all stuff is now purchased and in storage

anymore info, feel free to ask

regards

rupert.
