My BM200, I have used it for a month or so and really like this skimmer.
I just got my NAC7 yesterday. I'm going to start baffling my sump. Would a 10" baffle be good enough for the NAC7? figured if it was too tall, I could shim it to get a lower water level.
Or build a small stand to put the skimmer on instead. I like my NAC6 in 8 to 9 inches of water.
I read through the last 10 pages here but didn't see anyone comment on the Bubble Magus NAC5E HOB skimmer. Anybody have it? Should I just trust it since all the other skimmers are so great? Thanks guys!
anyone know what the warranty is on these skimmers?
Well my NAC7 just stopped working for some reason still don't know why but I don't have time right now to check whats going on. The skimmer basically makes an ugly noise (apparently in the impeller) sounds to me like a broken rod. It doesn't push water or anything. I'll have to deal with this after I come from work. If its the Rod, I'll have to wait to get a new one or look for a replacement pump.
Does anyone knows from a pump that is able to fit the 1" venturi? I was thinking aquabee but I'm hoping to find anything easier to get and cheaper. Any suggestions?
Anyone have any experience with the bubblemagus 150 pro? If so what is the water level they are recommending for optimal skimming? Thanks in advance.
Welcome to Reef Central! Aqua Digital's build thread is using one.

So, my tank just finished cycling so I decided to fire up my Bubble-Magus NAC3A+.. The results are not what I expected. Watery froth shot up the body and into the cup, and within seconds blew the top right off the cup and started blowing water all over the sump lol..
Now this is my first Skimmer, so I am perhaps somewhat ignorant, but I know this isn't supposed to happen.. There is a control tube/dial, but adjusting this only changed the overflow from two seconds to maybe five..
Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong? I assume that much water isn't supposed to shoot into the cup area, as the capped drain tube I thought was just supposed to be used as a drain tube for skimmate, not as a powerhead which is the way it seems to be acting if I take the plug out of the tube..
Any help would be appreciated..
