The colors always amaze me

This is my blasto that I use in most of my avatars on all the sites I frequent....

For the longest time this guy refused to grow, then it was attacked by a aptasia due to me not noticing there was one in the tank, did some serious damage to the backside of the frag, but it's now healed and regrown. Weird thing is that the attack triggered some type of survival reproduction and now there are maybe a dozen new polyps all around the front.

As a weird little test I'm going to remove the baby polyp in the bottom right side of the last picture, just on the rim of the frag disk. Then mount this onto coral frag plug (actual dead coral plug) and then measure and document the growth cycle....The polyp is maybe 1/8"

Dang those are crystal clear what lens are you using and around what f stop/ shutter speed was that at? Tripod? You really got a nice depth of field in that shot for how close the subject was

Thanks guy..... The fstop setting seems really high, but a I did a bracket shot session and this seem to be the settings that gave me the best color and details

Lens: VR 105mm F/2.8 G
