The deadliest thing in your tank

My 1+ yo 6 line wrasse fell victim to a turbo snail today.. I was working in the yard and came in for a drink when I saw the 6 line pecking at a snail... It flipped him and waited for the snail to open back up when it did he went to peck it and it closed its "door" on his head.... Killing the 6 line wrasse, his eyes nierly popped out.. have you ever heard something so weird? The blue legs have him almost consumed now but I have a few pictures

Lol, I've heard and experienced similar story's about clams crushing fish, but never a snail. That must've been one large snail.

I would guess for most tanks, zoanthids.

Yeah it was kinda a big snail but it was really just luck I guess also I couldn't get the fish out.. The snail still will not release him. The 6 line was a tyrant he finally met a just end after killing so many turbos

Have lost countless snails to them, and at least 6 fish -- and I am a lucky one, others have lost a great deal more.

I had a local anenomae from kw called a sun anenomae eat a majestic angel.. I let that anenomae go.

yes he's in my reef tank... along with some other venomous fish but he's the big boy

I have a female percula clown. She killed her mate... Then there were the 3 crown conchs I thought were fighting conchs that annilated my CUC(not hermits unfortunantly )

Probably my flower urchin, being the only thing in there reputed to be lethally venomous. Makes the lionfish look absolutely safe to pet in comparison.

Lionfish are reef safe, in the sense that they don't bother coral (other than perhaps perching on them). It is the shrimp/crabs/smaller fish that aren't safe with them.

Lionfish are reef safe, in the sense that they don't bother coral (other than perhaps perching on them). It is the shrimp/crabs/smaller fish that aren't safe with them.

Well, my reefs have smaller fish in them and have shrimps so I wouldn't be able to have one. Would be cool to have though!
