The eagles are landing today!

Everyone is doing fine. They remain in QT until the new tank is up, so it's going to still be a few weeks. I did also add a C. fasciatus to the mix :D

Wow, I can't believe these poor things have been in QT for this long :o There's a fasciatus in there with them too that apparently I've never taken a photo of this whole time...

Well, their new home is up and running. Fully cured LR will be added this weekend, so hopefully they'll be in the tank by next weekend!!

BTW take that, all you naysayers that say keeping as fish in QT is difficult!! :)

Peter, this has been a long time coming. I know you are excited about your new tank. I would be. Make sure to post some pictures when you get everyone switched over. :)

How are those filter socks supported? Do you have a closer pic or explanation?

They are these weird disc shaped attachments at the end of the pipes. Cool, I've never seen anything like them before. The install guy suggested them.

It sure has! I plan to transfer these butterflies first, then the other fish from the 110g later.

Yup... while I love tall tanks, I thought for the type of FO I want, a standard 8' 240g is the most practical/best for the fish.

Nice stain job on the stand, did you do it? It really matches the floor.

How does the water move from the sump to the fuge (they look like separate tanks)?

What skimmer and return pump are you using?

Do you always use filter socks?

Thanks. The stand and canopy came from leemar. Atlantis series (maple) stained red mahogany. Return line tees off to feed the fuge. SWC 300 skimmer. Oceanrunner return pump. Usually I use filter socks on the FO yes.

Wow, those are some vivid colors in the raccoon (Red Sea, right?).

Thanks, yes, C. fasciatus. I managed to snag one of the first ones from LADD... at a great price!

Looks great, I love the red sea raccoon. When do you plan on adding the rest of them?

Thanks, I'm thinking of doing it in phases. The rainfordi and large saddleback will go in first... probably this weekend.

You should snag the Red Sea Auriga tonight on DD.

I really thought about it, but my experience, at least with indo aurigas, is that they are very aggressive to other butterflies, so I don't want to chance it...
