The effect of coral dipping on live rock

If I need to dip a coral encrusted on a piece of removable live rock, what detrimental affect will it have on the live rock. I have successfully used the Bayer dip on corals but never when attached to live rock.

the dip should kill anything on the rock that it's supposed to kill on the coral. I wouldn't let THAT stop you. Dip the rock.
