How long has your tank been running? The tank and LR are so clean/sterile, it looks like you just started the system!

first 3 fish added around april 1st. barebottoms are very easy to clean. plus i dont turn on my lights very much... just room lights only to not induce heat issues.

sp gravity ~1.018, so my calcium levels would be way too low to have any coralline algae.

i QT(copper+prazi) every fish 3-5weeks, so this is not buying and dumping in the DT. hopefully my tank will remain parasite free..

actually the chrysurus has lymphocytosis, but its really improving every since he made it into the DT.

Thanks for sharig. That blue-line looks great along with your other large angels. With your QT method, it should pose little risk to introduce diseases. I wouldn't want one new fish to take out what I have in the DT either!

I can't see what they are nimbling on the tank floor. From your description, it seems like pellets they are picking off the bottom - if you don't have some yet, you can try the bigger 3mm NLS pellets too since your pellets seems small - 1mm?

Has the blueface always had HLLE??

When I rec'd it from LA(i think in 02/2012), it had HLLE, but it wasnt nowhere near as noticeable. After about 4 weeks of copper, it got bad. Its been in my DT since April and has not improved any.

The emperor juvie got it during QT too, but he has improved a lot. They were both QT together in a 40g.

The only fish that eats the 3mm NLS pellets is the emperor juvie. I feed it that about 1x day prior to frozens. The Blueline(6-7") ate 3mm NLS pellets for about a week when i first got it and quit for whatever reason. The BL will actually try eating it from time to time, but never able to swallow it whole.

In the vid they were feeding on ON Formula 2 small pellets. I feed that 3x/day since the passer(2"), powder brown, emp juvie, and blueline all eat that. I might pick up a can of the medium size(2-3mm) and see how they react to that.

Thanks for the feedback...
