Will I be able to buy a bottle of (Eric's magic elegance restorer) and buy sick elegances and dip them or QT them with a product and be able to cure them.
Very cute. If he already had the answer to your question, why bother to do any research? How could he know what the answer will be in advance?
If Eric can promise a solution before he's identified the problem, then I think we'd better not waste his time on coral research and put him to work curing cancer or the AIDs epidemic. There's a bird flu coming along too.
Although your incident is a strong piece of anecdotal evidence, the real possibility of coincidence is something that you allow for in your post.
From my perspective, we will have accomplished a LOT even if we are only successful identifying the cause of the problem. Then, yes, hopefully there will also be a cure or prevention. But, think of all of the medical conditions that humans have that are still untreatable?
To ask Eric for this kind of answer at this point seems unrealistic to me ... sorry.
Its wonderful to see how so many people have hung in here with this project. StoneRhino, we all really hope to gain the confidence again to adopt these beautiful corals. I'm sorry for your loss. Thanks Eric for staying with it an getting it going again. Let us know how we can help.
