The Entrance Reef

The Entrance Reef is the replacement tank for my old 3ft BB ULNS tank. The old tank in the bedroom was starting to get on my nerves, it seemed as it became older the noiser it got or maybe it was a case of the older I got the more annoyed with small noises I became and I think it may of been the 2nd reason

So I decided to pull the tank down and sell off all the equipment and start a fresh somewhere else. We have a good size entrance hallway and Tammy and I had always discussed that a tank would look really nice in that spot as you walk through the door. So it was pretty easy decision as to where the new tank was going. Enough with the useless information now I'll get on to equipment list followed with some pics :)

Tank - 1300 x 600 x 500, 12mm rimless with the 3 viewing sides starphire and a central overflow.

Sump - 970 x 550 x 350 with 4 chambers, skimmer - cryptic - return/zeo reactor and also built in ATO

Stand - 50 x 50 steel powdercoated black

Lighting - 10x54w ATI Powermodule

Skimmer - Royal Exclusiv Bubble King Double Cone 180

Zeo Reactor - Vertex Rx-z 1.5

Flow - 4x Tunze 6095 running off Tunze 7096 multicontroller

Heater - Schego 600w

Return - Red Dragon speedy 3 50w

Dosing - Vertex Libra with 3 Vertex 2.5T dosing vessels

Plumbing - Royal Exclusiv red pipe with white bends

ATO - Tunze 3155

Electrical - K&J Aquatics PDU with front switches plugs at rear and I've made a custom box to hide as much wiring as possible to hide everything and make it look as neat as possible

Tank method - I will be running the Fauna Marin zeolight system, staring DT with base rock and it will also be barebottom

Exciting times, looking forward to it all coming together and helping with the new journey (if you trust me enough) lol x

Very nice equipment Scotty. It'll look really nice where you have it placed. Looking forward to this

Thanks Conor, I was a bit unsure on the placement but its starting to grow on me :)

Very nice Scotty. Will be following your build. ;)

Thank you coral102

My tank has about 120-140 total water volume at a fair temperature room and I used to go through 5-6 gallons in a matter of 2-3days max.

I have my other tank that is 1200L total and that runs a 60L ATO but because the tank is situated in a big open space that lasts me over a week.

What T5 fixture is what in the pic above?

ATI Powermodule

Very good shape and quality rock. Where you get it from? Thanks.

It's come from a guy I know here in Australia and his business is called beyond the sea reef supplies. He imports it from the USA but that's all I know sorry
