hey cherie,
where were you getting you feeders from. didn't you throw out a web site before.... it's way to intimidating to try to search this thread for it. :)

Sorry - haven't been around much. www.saltwaterexpress.com is where I got my marine feeder shrimp.

I love FF. I had one back in 1993. My aquarium society had a group buy that I coordinated. Someone ordered a FF and never picked it up. I got stuck with it. I couldn't put it in my reef so stuck it in my 5 gal micro tank. Kept that thing for 3 yrs in that tiny tank before I moved and had to sell it. Fed it goldfish.

That is pretty amazing that it lived that long - considering everything I've read or heard indicates that goldfish are a poor diet for any marine fish.

They are pretty darn cool little fish!

Ok, so I just got this angler today, it is so freaking sweet! The picture I took is kinda murky looking, but he is bright yellow, redish rough spots with green spots. Does anyone know what type it is?

What price would be a fair price for this?(I think I scored big time)

Will he eat the small hermits have have in the tank?

Looks just like the one I bought. I think I paid close to $200 with shipping. My one suggestion would be to not over feed him. I enjoyed feeding mine a little to much and I think that was the cause of his death. Good luck with him, he is very cute!

Looks exactly like the one in your picture. I had one a long time ago and overfed it feeder fish, this time I am sticking to just ghost shrimp and maybe krill on a feeder stick.

Why don't you just tell us the price you paid and we'll be the judge?

I paid $99.99 at a lfs for the little guy. I thought that was such a good price for him. His lure looks so crazy its like a mini pistol shrimp on the end.

Will he eat My hermits?

Any info on them? what is there color scpectrum?

I'm having a problem with my little angler.

I acclimated him very carefully, over two days in fact. I was very paranoid.

Day 3 he was eating fine (FW Ghost shrimp) and then on the 4th day I cam into the room to find sand all over the place. He was laying on his side like he was paralyzed.

Now it's day 5 and the poor guy is still on his side, but extremely bloated.

He's had no air ingestion that I know of. When I bought him, the LFS was very careful not get him airborn.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ok, so what is the right amount of food to feed my yellow wartskin angler? I bought him last week and let 10 ghost shrimp loose in the tank at the same time, they were gone within 24 hours. Should I do about 10 weekly?

I was also thinking about adding a small chromis or damsel for food, is that ok?

Another proud frogfish owner :D

This is his, it holds about 70 liters and he has it all to himself.

Here's the little guy in question.

Close up, as you can see, he is a warty frogfish.

I got him about 2 months ago, in the mean while I got him used to frozen foods, so I can offer him something other than guppies (raised in salt water).

Where is the best place to buy a frogfish. I have tried my LFS but they are having a hard time getting one. Im looking for a small Maculatus or Pictus. Thanks
