LOL, mmmm... yeah the 1200 in my 65gal. is just a bit too much.

I have blocked some of the inlet and it still runs reliably and start w/o problems.

It's a shame to waste that capacity but it was making a sand storm or shooting water out the top. apparently this mod works as advertised.

Actually, I think it works better than advertised. I would be courious to mod a 600 with the smaller prop and shroud. making it more custom to the smaller tanks or just to introduce flow in restricted areas with very little power consumed

Can someone tell me exactly what we need to mod some maxijets? We're thinking about doing it at our get together in W-loo

Is it better to just buy the "kit" from mjmods or is it just as easy to just do it yourself?

Where do you buy all the props and whatever else you need?

If you buy the kits, tell them what you are doing and he said that he would give a discount for the club activity. If none of you have completed the mod before, I would go ahead and buy the kits. Everythin is included and it really is very simple.

What did you guys use to make the ball/socket mounts?

We used the large magnets we bought from Petco for $12, 3/4" PVC pipe and couplings, a couple plastic screws and a plastic ball. We tapped 1/4" threads in the couplings and in the ball. Try getting with Enstiens about getting some expanded pictures to show it.
The mounts total cost was about $15 with the mags.

I would have liked to see how Bill's mount turned out in the end as well as he had to wait for the weld on to dry to finish them.
