The MP20 has Arrived!

An MP20's flow will be the same as an MP40w turned down, so you should be able to test if it will be desirable for your tank. You will not, however, have the benefit of being able to wireless sync an MP20 to your MP40w.

Turned down by how much?

About two thirds (2000 vs 3200 gph).

Thanks Tim.
I have an MP40 that's about a year old and would like to upgrade to the new generation. What do I do? I am from Canada BTW.

I know it is too small according to the specs, but I am really interested in the mp20. I have a 75 sps with minimal rockwork for an open look. I have mostly small colonies right now, but am in need of a new circulation system. Do you think that I could use the mp20 to get adequate flow for sps in my tank? I would have the long term goal of getting a mp40 eventually, but it just isn't in my budget at the moment. My wifes says the mp20 isn't either, but that is another story.

I have the same qeustion as austin93. I'm considering two mp20's for a 75 gallon sps tank.

My concern with the mp40 is that it can kick up a lot of sand and does not seem to extend to the far end of a 48" tank... at least not enough to provide enough flow for sps on the far side (I have a friend with one). I know an mp20 would have the same problems reaching the far end, so that is why I'm considering two of them.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Could you just keep sps on the side of the mp20? Use the other side for something else like a ricordia and zoo garden?

I just bought an mp20 for my oceanic 24x18x21. This pump replaced 2- k2's that took up to much viewing space. So far I love the soft flow this pump gives out. Im able to get a 1/2 inch wave, which is so cool. Did I max out the size of waves I can make? I would like a 1 inch wave or 2.

Anyhow im pleased with my purchase, thanks Ecotech.

any chance of the mp20 being able to sync with another 20 .. would love that technology :)
only because i keep mine at the back of the tank and only need the 2000 gph :)
