Sun Tea Jar Auto Top Off

Here's my auto top off with a sun tea jar. It's a pressure-regulated, gravity-driven setup for about $10. No batteries, pumps, or float switches and it mantains your water level automatically. Somewhat like the old Nurce top off.

I did pretty much the same thing nano cube boy did to create a refugium in a nano cube.
first, i cut off the vinyl off the back of the second chamber

then, I installed a light

the light is a little big but it still works

lots of room for my chaeto to grow

amoryodio, do ever clean the five window inside? As you can see I have the light and I wonder can I should change the bulb? I know from time to time the spectrum runs out, but I'm not if it's apply to fuge light as well

This link appears to be broken. I'd be really interested in any way of improving these scrapers, because they are indeed somewhat crappy. Anyone know where this modification was posted?

I need some help with making a skimmer for my 5.5 gallon. Length and width don't matter, but the skimmer must be 10 inches or less in height.

Call Red Sea, they will send you 2 new fans and then ask for the xtra fan for the back of the tank. I intalled all of those and it helped alot with heat.

How about a Ghetto Kalk Reactor for a nano? I built one out of a quart plastic container and some medical tubing. No powered parts -- the thin tubing does the mixing.

Two Bulkhead fittings are siliconed to the lid

Ok would an Ozonizer unit be compatible the with stock skimmer. Prob not but looking for info. Let me know the reasons why it would not. Would an ozonizer help with the skimmate if it was combatible. How about I just not run any skimmer. I hate my stock unit and do not want to drop the $ for the 9002 yet. Blah, it is noisy and if I could untimately not run it I would be happy, but I have many specimens, only 1 fish so far. I am just mad and jumping the gun I think.
