so, it finally arrived, the custom 150G. can't wait to start working with this thing, but I may have to as I have yet to even look for a stand to place it on. oh, and the best part about this tank...it was free! It's a test tank that a vendor made for me to test out some of their various equipment. can't complain much about a sweet deal like that!

now I just have to find the means to set it up and get it going...

Daaaang!! The equipment is free too?? What equipment are you testing? anything innovative? What a job!!! TinMan

How are you getting this test equipment free?! :)

As much as I buy, upgrade and sell off in the last year I may as well be a tester also! :)

yeah, i haven't had the chance to measure the tank for its dimensions yet; i was told by the vendor that it's a 150G. It does look like it might be 5X2X2 though.

this tank was made and supplied by Bermuda Aquatics, a very dedicated and generous RC sponsor and supporter. I'm testing some of their protein skimmers for them; namely, the Bermuda BPS-3C and the Bermuda Rogue Hang-On-Tank skimmers.

I've also been working with the AquaC Remora, ETSS Reef Devil Deluxe, ASM G1-X, Pro Clear Aquatics Impact 200, Tunze Nano DOC, and a couple updated versions of the above.

I'm a reef geek, what can I say...

That looks pretty sweet. Who made it? You can not just tease us like that. :) Oh, I guess you did already.

Kim, I've got four separate tanks running and I'm still quite a ways behind you as far as that goes. and none of my tanks even compare to yours...

on a side note: the testing thing can be a lot of work, and not as inexpensive as it sounds. I still need to regularly buy salt and supplies, livestock, test kits, and other materials as necessary to test each units performance under a strict set of parameters. and then there's the actual research, testing, analysis and reporting. it's actually been quite an investment in both time and money.

but it is something that I really enjoy, as it combines my love of the hobby with my "research" background. it's kind of a "best of both worlds" scenario...
